Dance exercises to do at home
Hi Moving in the Spirit students! As requested, here are some exercises for you to do if you have just 10-30 minutes to spare in a day. I suggest following one of the videos below at least once a day.
All of you could work on improving flexibility and strengthening your range of motion. Follow this video for deep stretching only when you're incredibly warm. Please do not ever do any of these exercises if you're not totally warm. When you come home from dance on Monday/Wednesday would be a good time for a deep stretch like this.
Rub on your feet before starting these exercises to wake your feet up. I would try to pick one or two exercises from this video and do them when you first wake up, before you go to bed, or under your desk at school.
Balance and preparing for turns
Follow this video once or twice a week. Try to complete the full video and don't move onto the next exercise in the video until you're able to do the current exercise strong 4 times in a row.
